The Harry Potter novels have become one of the biggest phenomena of the last decade, with every succeeding book breaking records, and with over 450 million books sold it is hard to say that a Harry Potter world does not exist on its own. To pay homage to J.K. Rowling’s efforts we offer you a Harry Potter exclusive.
A Harry Potter Decade
Harry Potter and The Philosopher’s Stone was the first book of the eight chronicles. It’s formation and publishing took 7 years, with J.K. Rowling going through her life’s hardest part. After working at Amnesty International in London, Rowling decided to move to Manchester. In 1990, while she was on a four-hour-delayed train trip from Manchester to London, the idea for a story of a young boy attending a school of wizardry came fully formed into her mind.
When she had reached her London flat, she began to write immediately. In December, Rowling’s mother Anne died. Her death heavily affected Rowling’s writing and she introduced much more detail about Harry’s loss in The Philosopher’s Stone because she knew how it felt.
*The Soundtrack of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone will evoke all the spooky and gloomy creatures of the Wizarding World.
A Harry Potter Influenced Wizardly Charm
The Harry Potter series have given a world of heritage, from the books and films to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme parks. A Harry Potter shaped world has been erected to life, changing how and what we think of magic. To become a true wizard one had to undertake long, hard and sometimes dreary work. With numerous spells to learn and potions to make it was no surprise that exam week in Hogwarts was only welcomed by Hermione Granger.
Here are the three most rudimentary spells we have seen in Hogwarts:
Expecto Patronum – This defensive spell which will conjure a spirit-like incarnation of their positive emotions to defend against dark creatures.
Expelliarmus – Causes whatever the victim is holding to fly away, knocks out an opponent if used too forcefully. Harry Potter’s special spell.
Wingardium Leviosa – The levitation charm used to make objects fly, or levitate, taught to first years at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Just like in the School of Witchcraft and Wizardry here at Creame we have our own magic spells, but not in the form of charms or potions, but as irresistible, high fidelity artwork prints. To commemorate the efforts of J.K. Rowling and to welcome the a Harry Potter book we offer you an exclusive series influenced by the fantastic novels.
– To Hedwig –
Blue Beard* reminisces of our beloved Dumbledore. I just can’t bare the fact that he died during the Half-Blood Prince! He was a half-blood, Muggle-supporting wizard, Albus Dumbledore was considered to be the most powerful wizard of his time. He was most famous for his defeat of Gellert Grindelwald, the discovery of the twelve uses of dragon’s blood, and his work on alchemy with Nicolas Flamel.
Tea Party creates a complete magical illusion of the charming wizardly world that so many have come to adore. Hedwig was Harry Potter’s pet Snowy Owl, which is truly exemplified in the artwork Owls 1.

– T0 Sirius Black-
Sirius Black was a close family friend of the Potters, he was unrighteously charged for the murder of twelve Muggles (a person born to two non-magic parents) and the betrayal of the Potters. He exposed the true menace of Peter Pettigrew (the one who gave up the Potters to Voldemort and framed Sirius) to his Godson Harry.
Sirius had the ability to transform into Animagus – a form of a massive dog, excellently portrayed by Balázs Solti in Dinner Time. Santa Muerte by Francesco Grande gives off that dementors vibe, the soul-sucking creatures that were one of the deadliest things in the wizarding world.
As J.K. Rowling has said, death is one of the biggest themes in Harry Potter. Rowling herself dealt with her mother’s passing and incorporated these emotions into the novel. Jungle Skull by Ali Gulec is the symbolic paradox of life and death – showing the cycle of nature and the order of the world.
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child
The grand collection of the Harry Potter series will be receiving another addition, the eighth book called Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
However the difference here will be that it’s not just a book, but a play, a two-part West End play that is! Written by Jack Thorne and based on the original story by J.K. Rowling. It explores the life of Harry potter 19 years after the conclusion of Harry potter and the Deathly Hallows. The storyline follows Harry and his son Albus Severus Potter. The Original synopsis of the play reads as follows:
“It was always difficult being Harry Potter and it isn’t much easier now that he is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband, and father of three school-age children.
While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places.”
Rowling has even taken the matter to Twitter to inform everyone of the proceeding events, I myself am very excited for the new book, or should I say play, and I am very pleased with the slight change of production of the storyline.
Not a prequel. Not unearthly.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them a book written by J.K. Rowling (under the pseudonym of Newt Scamander) is about the magical creatures in the Harry Potter universe. It purports to be Harry Potter’s copy of the textbook of the same name mentioned in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. It includes several notes inside it supposedly handwritten by Harry, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger, detailing their own experiences with some of the beasts described.
In 2013 Rowling announced the production of a film inspired by the book, being the first in a new trilogy. The story will feature Newt Scamander as a main character and will be set in New York City, 70 years before Harry’s story starts.
