Now won’t you look at that! Creame has officially gained a talent that could easily put to shame the conceptual artists of the “Indiana Jones” and “Lord of the Rings” franchises. Or any other high fantasy franchise for that matter. Ivan Laliashvili creates landscapes that are capable of truly stealing one’s breath away, sceneries that are grand on the scale, symphonic in their nature – artworks that could serve as the templates for the adventure of a lifetime!
As it often happens, creative souls foster better in a carefully maintained creative environment. The story began in the Northwestern part of today’s Russian Federation, in the place known as Petrozavadosk, to be more precise. The year was 1986 and the boy named Ivan came into a family of two dedicated designers. To put it simply, Ivan was surrounded by art-addicted people from very early on, so there was no way for the boy to avoid the creative expression of any kind while growing up. The spectacular region was also a big player in the development of the young talent. With its truly magnificent scenery and utmost fairy-tale like setting, it had an obvious impact on the Ivan’s imagination and the consequent artistic direction. Huge in scope, but full of well-crafted little miracles – just like the artworks on Ivan’s page.
Getting Adult shouldn’t Rob You of Wonder
Unfortunately, there exists a widespread myth of our fantasy worlds gradually getting thinner and lesser as we are growing up. Don’t believe it, for they actually just get a bit deeper, more varied and philosophical. Ivan Laliashvili is the embodiment of the matter for the man creates scenes that are recognizable and admired by both young and old. Ivan studied classical art at the St. Petersburg Academy of Fine Arts, developing and perfecting his knack for conjuring up different, but equally magical worlds before the spectator’s eyes. Still, the academic stamp has left its traces here and there, for some of the Ivan’s feats actually have a lot in common (believe it or not) with the aesthetics of the 19-th century British romantics. Only with an additional value of dynamism, though.
I Want to Live in that Wall Art!
As of now, Ivan Laliashvili defines himself with the terms “conceptual artist” and “illustrator”, an artist who is still finding new ways of visual communication by continuing studies at the aforementioned Academy. In the meantime, Ivan works in a studio that creates computer graphics for video games. Inside this little laboratory, he merges together the most impressive of sci-fi, steampunk, and classic Tolkien fantasy while also carrying out amazing still life projects, depicting the variety of our colorful world and its rich history. Crossing mediums and playing with fantasy genre patterns, Ivan’s artworks invite us to explore! More than anything, his creative output possess a sense of journey, a story in making!
And so, we proudly present the latest contribution to our catalog of extraordinary talent. Coming straight from an epic fantasy flick, Ivan’s creations are perfect for both the youngest of swashbuckler’s and princesses while also being suitable for all of the experienced riders of the North. Forgive us the designations, but the sense of an epic adventure is a contagious thing!
